The League typically hosts two regional conferences each year, one in the spring and one in the fall, in different locations across the United States. Regional conferences provide intensive, intimate professional development and networking experiences, and the condensed format fits into participants' busy schedules. Members of the League's national Board of Directors act as the conference presenters and share practical and pertinent insights based on their experiences as leaders in the historic theatre field.
Typical conference topics include: The Historic Theatre Advantage; Making the Case for Investment; Raising Capital Campaign Money; Film Presentation 101: Programming, Promotion and Projection; Writing Contracts, Operations Basics; Maximizing Concession Profits; Marketing Q&A; Responsibilities of Nonprofit Boards; Historic Theatre Renovation 101; Reducing Risk and Other Insurance Issues.
