2016 National Conference

With over 25 education sessions and 7 theatre tours, the National Conference July 17-20 in Chicago was a 40th anniversary that won't soon be forgotten.

Our educational program this year included sessions on restoration, safety, technology and programming along with important case studies of best practices from around the nation. In total, we had more than 25 hours of historic theatre education - truly something for everyone.

Our Keynote speaker was David J. Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Preservation Officer, National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Attendees had an opportunity to visit the Athenaeum Theatre, Mercury Theater, Pickwick Theatre, York Theatre, Chicago Theatre, Ford Center for the Performing Arts / Oriental Theatre, PrivateBank Theatre (formerly Bank of America; Shubert), Civic Opera House, and Cadillac Palace Theatre.

40 exhibitors shared their latest products and services with more than 102 different historic theatre organizations across the United States and Canada.
